Quick Update: St. Jude Championship
Guess what?
It’s raining during another PGA Tour event. This must be the 10th event this year affected by rain.
This time, though, they’re trying to stay ahead of it.
Because of the storms this morning, they announced last night that today’s tee times would be adjusted.
Round 3 will start between 10:45 AM ET and 12:45 PM ET, with groups of three teeing off from No. 1 and No. 10.
TV Schedule:
Saturday: 1-3 p.m. (Golf Channel), 3-6 p.m. (NBC)
Sunday: 12-2 p.m. (Golf Channel), 2-6 p.m. (NBC)
What about the golf?
Hideki Matsuyama, who we took off our card after he was robbed in London, is now in the lead.
We thought he wasn’t a safe bet after his caddie and coach had to return to Japan. Betting on golf is really easy and fun.
Hideki is tied with Denny McCarthy, who can’t seem to miss with the flat stick. He continues to be one of the best putters on tour. Both are 11-under.
Sam Burns is at 10-under, and his best friend, Scottie Scheffler, is at 9-under.
I’ve run out of words to describe Scottie’s stellar play this season, but I’m still amazed at how everything seems to be on cruise control for him.
He shoots 65s so effortlessly.
You can’t help but expect this will be another weekend where everyone else in the field gives it their all, but Scottie Scheffler just hangs around for three days and then destroys everyone with the easiest 62 you’ve ever seen on Sunday.
By the way, how about Scottie losing his cool?
Good to see he’s got a little fight in him.

📰 Report: Golf Digest’s Jaime Diaz quoted a ‘Veteran Tour Insider’ who said Jon Rahm is experiencing deep regret over his move to LIV:
“I am 100 percent positive that if Jon could give the money back to the Saudis and come back to the tour, he couldn’t write the check fast enough. Now there are only four times a year when he’s playing that anybody is remotely interested. He thought his stature in the game was secure no matter where he was playing, and it was a bad miscalculation.”
