Good Afternoon. I was recently told something that made me laugh, so I figured I’d share it here for the next time you have a bad round.
It’s all about perspective.
Even if you play poorly, at least you’re out on a golf course and live a life that allows you to play, ya know?
I know a guy who eats three square meals a day, reads a book a week, and gets laid twice a week. You’re probably thinking “that guy has got it good”!

Preview & Picks: BMW Championship
The last time the pro’s went to Caves Valley, they tore it up.
Several guys shot -20 or better. The winner was at -27.
Birdie-fests aren’t exactly what you want from your season end race to the trophy - it should feel like a challenge, at least in the mind of this “golf writer”.
Hopefully it’ll be a little more difficult this year, as they’ve added about 100 yards in length and changed the course from a par 72 to a par 70. That means some short par five’s are now long par four’s.
The rough is longer and the greens are firmer than the last time they played at Caves, but with all of that being said, it still sets up well for the best in the world to bomb it and go low.
The top 49 players on TOUR will all be in the field, it would be the top 50, but Sepp Straka had to drop out due to a family matter.
Rory McIlroy is back in action this week and he’ll be paired with Scottie Scheffler for the first two rounds of the tournament. Scottie Scheffler will be without his longtime caddie Ted Scott, who’s also dealing with a family matter.
As you likely already know, after this week, only the Top 30 will continue on to the TOUR Championship next week. Here are the players on the bubble.
After that, it’s all eyes on the Ryder Cup.

Winner: Viktor Hovland +3500: We picked Vik last week and it didn’t work out for us, but we still like him this time of year.
Winner: Chris Gotterup +3500: If the kid from New Jersey wins, does he sure up a Ryder Cup spot?
Winner: Keegan Bradley +4500: Can Captain Keegan go back to back at the BMW? We think so.
Top Ten: Cameron Young +175: The monkey is off his back and the putter has been hot, plus his length off the tee should help him this week.
Top Ten: Patrick Cantlay +150: Pat almost always puts up a respectable performance at the BMW.
Top Ten: Sungjae Im +350. We’re mixing in a longer odds placement for Sungjae this week. He’s one of the best when the course is long, but the scoring is easy.
First Round Leader: Ben Griffin +3000: He’s had some of the best form of anyone on TOUR this year.
