Plus: Cantlay Is Still Slow, TaylorMade Sues Callaway, and More.

Good Afternoon. This past weekend: Scottie Scheffler won, Patrick Reed won, and TaylorMade is suing Callaway. Wonder who will win that case?

Scottie Scheffler Downhill Chipping Tip

Scottie Scheffler is an absolute wizard around the greens. He can get up and down from just about anywhere and in this video, he's going to be teaching you how he handles those downhill chip shots to a short pin and a back pin. A 60º wedge isn't always the play, and he'll teach you the way he goes about these different shots.

Scottie’s Doing Tiger & Jack Things

On Sunday, Scottie Scheffler won for the 20th time on the PGA TOUR.

Last year, after his 4th or 5th win of the season, I wrote about how I’ve run out of words to describe Scottie Scheffler’s play.

I still feel that way. I have no idea how golf writers of yesteryear invented fresh ways to write about Tiger and Jack.

How many times can you describe excellence without being redundant?

I guess that’s my problem to figure out, but for now, let’s assume that at a certain point in Tiger’s career, all you could do is compare him to Jack, and no one else.

The two of them stood above the crowd.

Scottie Scheffler has now entered that conversation. It’s just a matter of how long he can continue to do it for, and how many majors he’ll collect while he does it.

After a few years of playing at the highest level we’ve seen since Tiger, he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

In his last 13 starts, he’s won 7 times and has not finished worse than T8.

More From The Amex

Blades Brown, the 18 year old phenom, faded on Sunday with a two-over round and finished T18.

Jason Day, Ryan Gerard, Matt McCarty, and Andrew Putnam finished in a four way tie for 2nd place at -23, a full four shots behind Scheffler.
