Higgo Leads WWT:
Garrick Higgo, one of our pre-tournament picks of the week, leads in Mexico. He matched the course record on Sunday with an 11-under 61. Higgo (-22) leads Carson Young (-21) by one stroke.
Ben Griffin, who’s looking to become the only player outside McIlroy and Scheffler to win three times (or more) this year, is tied for third along with Chaz Ramey and Trevor Cone. All three of them are at 20-under.
Golf Channel will provide final-round TV coverage of the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. ET.
Aaron Rai Wins Abu Dhabi Championship
This morning, Aaron Rai edged out Tommy Fleetwood in a playoff to win the Abu Dhabi Championship - draining a 10-footer to seal it on the first hole.
Not exactly shocking...
When he was just 15, Rai set a record by making 207 straight 10-foot putts in practice.. Source
Five years ago, Rai beat Tommy Fleetwood in a playoff at the Genesis Scottish Open to win his first Rolex Series event. Five years on, he’s done it again.
As for Fleetwood, that’s gotta be like, the 10th time he’s lost on the final hole in the last few years…
