Two of our three picks this week (Max Homa and Aldrich Potgieter) have withdrawn from the Bank of Utah Championship. Sometimes you just gotta laugh at how silly betting is.

Anyway, Michael Brennan (-10) leads through two rounds in the desert.

Well, almost two rounds, as the second round was suspended for darkness Friday.

Brennan, 23 years old and a Wake Forrest grad, won three times in a four event stretch on the Korn Ferry Tour during August and September. Those wins allowed him to take one of the 10 KFT spots in this field and he’s trying to make the most of it.

Pierceson Coody, Jackson Suber, and Justin Lower were 9-under. In the FedExCup standings, Suber is 127th, Lower 129th and Coody 133rd.
