Quick Update: WWT Championship
After two rounds and a cut, we’re down to 69 players (nice) at the WWT Championship.
Nico Echavarria and Max Greyserman are tied for the 36 hole lead at the Tiger Woods designed El Cardonal at Diamante.
After a windy Thursday in Mexico, it died down Friday and we got the birdie-fest we expected. This is a resort course after all.
Here’s what you need to know:
Nico Echavarria is looking to go back to back after beating Justin Thomas & Max Greyserman two weeks ago in Japan at the Zozo Championship.
Greyserman has 3 runner-up finishes this year and is looking for his first Tour win.
Carson Young shot a tournament record 61, with 12 birdies an a bogey.
Coverage will be on Golf Channel from 2-5pm ET Saturday and Sunday.
