Simple Strategy For Shooting Lower Scores

Quick Update: The Wyndham Championship

Live Update: what the heck is going on?

First, weather delays have significantly impacted play, with the second round not beginning until 8 a.m. this morning. As of now, it seems they plan to play 36 holes on Sunday to finish the tournament on time.

Second, welcome to the Beau show.

At the rain-soaked Wyndham Championship, everyone is chasing Beau Hossler, who shot 10-under in the first round.

He’ll need to maintain this pace if he wants to make the playoffs next week.

According to the Tour, he must finish third or better to qualify. He tees off for his second round at 3:38pm ET.

What about everyone else?

Billy Horschel has continued his recent streak of high-quality play, matching his career best with a 62 in the first round. He’s 8-under, just two shots off the lead as of 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Nick Taylor and Aaron Rai are tied with Horschel.

Ryan Moore, Chad Ramey, and Adam Hadwin are T-5 and 7-under.

Five players are currently tied at 6-under: Ben Taylor, Brendan Todd, Austin Eckroat, Matt Kuchar, and Charley Hoffman.

Matt Kuchar has never missed the playoffs in it’s 17 year existence.

He will need to win The Wyndham Championship to make it 18 consecutive years.

Two notable things from Devereux here, a cool shirt and a collection that features clothes for kids. Shout out to all the dads out there.

If you have a son or grandson that’s young, they may really like these golf shirts. One of them even has flames on it.

That’s all folks! See you Monday.
