Good Afternoon. It’s PGA Championship week in the greater Philadelphia area. If you’re visiting and wondering where to get a cheesesteak, the answer is John’s Roast Pork. But if you’re in Newtown Square near Aronimink, make time for Thunderbird.

Quick Recap: Truist Championship

The Truist Championship was wide open on Sunday, with plenty of contenders within striking distance.

But it was Kris Reitan, from Norway, who stepped up to claim the trophy and signature event check.

Reitan played golf at Texas before choosing to go pro, he’s spoken openly about it being a bumpy road for him, but ultimately got back into the swing of things, finished on the Top 10 on the DP World Tour last year, and got his TOUR Card.

The Truist was Reitan’s 15th career start, and he had never registered a Top 10 prior to this weekend.

Yet, despite his relative lack of experience, he was able to overcome the 1 stroke lead held by Alex Fitzpatrick, and stay steady while guys like Rickie Fowler, Cameron Young, and Nicolai Hojgaard made a Sunday charge.

What about everybody else?

Alex Fitzpatrick, who has been playing well since he got his PGA TOUR Card, started the day with a one stroke lead, but ultimately shot +2 on the day and finished in solo 4th place. He’s having a great year, just like his brother, who finished 52nd this week after winning three starts in a row.

Cam Young, who’s putting better than anyone on earth, missed multiple putts inside of 4 feet yesterday. You know, just in case you think YOU should make all the four footers.

Tommy Fleetwood finished T5 and Rory McIlroy finished T19
