Quick Recap: WWT Championship

Ben Griffin came from behind on Sunday to win the WWT Championship in Mexico.

With his win, he joined Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy as the only players on TOUR to win 3x or more in 2025. A great year for the three of them, no doubt, but not nearly as impressive as when your buddy “almost shot 75” last weekend at the local muni.

Griffin earned $1,080,000 for his performance, but no Fedex Cup points were awarded because he was already safely in the Top 50.

Outside of Griffin, Sami Valimaki and Chad Ramey were the biggest beneficiaries of solid play in Mexico.

With their dual runner-up finish, they each were awarded 245 Fedex Cup points and moved safely into the Top 100, with Ramey at 89th and Valimaki at 76th.

The Butterfield Bermuda Championship is this week at Port Royal Golf Course.
