Good Afternoon. We hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend, celebrating 250 years of this great experiment we call America. All eyes on Team USA tonight in Seattle. 8pm on Fox. 🇺🇸
How To Control Your Irons With Tommy Fleetwood
Fleetwood teaches GOLF's Sean Zak a quick and easy 5-ball drill you can do anywhere. So, whether you're trying to punch under the wind or launch it high and soft into a back pin, trajectory control is one of the most valuable skills any golfer can develop.

Quick Recap: John Deere Classic

One year ago, Chris Gotterup was the 158th-ranked player in the world.
At the time, he had one career win: the Myrtle Beach Classic, an opposite-field event.
That Sunday, he went toe-to-toe with Rory McIlroy in the final pairing and beat him by two strokes for his first PGA TOUR win. Afterward, he could barely hold it together in the post-round interview.
Fast-forward one year, and Gotterup might be the best American golfer under 30. Jeff’s “feels like his life is about to change” line from last year couldn’t have been more accurate.
Yesterday, Gotterup shot a scorching, bogey-free 62 with his brother on the bag, then gave us another emotional interview.
Of course, it should be noted that Ben Kohles could’ve won on the 72nd hole with a birdie and forced a playoff with a par, but instead had a nervy pull left into the water.
He made a double, cost himself the tournament and a lot of money, but we like to focus on the positives around here.
Back to Gotterup - the guy can flat-out ball, and he’s easy to cheer for because it’s obvious he gives a damn.
Like we said on Wednesday when we made our picks: sometimes, in a weak field, you just bet the player with the highest ceiling.
And right now, no one really knows where Gotterup’s ceiling is. But it’s high.
Thankfully, he proved us right, and we finally broke the cold streak we’ve been on by picking a winner.
We picked Scottie Scheffler at The American Express, Chris Gotterup at the WM Phoenix Open, Cameron Young at The Players Championship, and now Gotterup at the John Deere.
Four for the year aint bad.
What’s Next?
The Scottish Open.

Shots Heard Round The World
Community Poll
Last week, we shared a poll asking readers if they watch the LPGA at all:
42% voted “Sometimes”
33% of you answered “No”
25% of you answered “yes”
One golfer put it bluntly “Zero interest”.
Another golfer said “I’ll typically watch the majors/bigger tournaments, or if one of my favorite players is on a heater…”
Overall, we do not have a ton of LPGA viewers here.
