⛳️ Golf's Funniest One Liners

Plus: Frozen Pond Flop Shot, Hideki Sets Record, and More.

Good afternoon. Tiger Woods topped the PIP Bonus rankings in final year of the program, despite only playing in 5 events throughout the year and making one cut. Scottie Scheffler finished second and Rory McIlroy finished third. There are many critical comments from golf fans about this fact on social media today. It’s probably for the best that this program is coming to an end.

Quick Recap: The Sentry

Hideki Matsuyama made history this weekend at The Plantation Course at Kapalua by setting a new scoring record on the PGA Tour. His 35-under score broke Cameron Smiths mark of 34-under at the same course a few years ago.

Collin Morikawa tried to keep pace, but Hideki edged him out by 3 strokes, Morikawa ultimately finished in solo second place.

Sungjae Im, one of our picks of the week, finished in third.

The funniest thing to come out of the weekend was Morikawa’s reaction to Hideki’s score, which included an f-bomb.

“Excuse my language, but f---,” he said, “35 under par is, that’s low.”

This of course lead to a bunch of pearl clutching and condemnations from Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee and Rich Lerner. If you want to hear it yourself, check out the link below.
