Good Morning. The American fans at the RBC yesterday really gave it to Matt Fitzpatrick. Of course, this offended many on social media, but it did not bother Fitz in the slightest.
What do you think? We put a poll at the bottom of the tourney recap. Let us know how you feel.
I Couldn't Lead With My Hips Until I Was Shown This Drill
There are two drills in this video. One is the “step-through” drill, and the other is designed to help you pause at the top of your backswing.

One takeaway? Bryson’s team, during the Masters, was “meeting with organizations to discuss possible options if he chose to leave LIV.”

Quick Recap: RBC Heritage

Matt Fitzpatrick has some stones.
He led for most of the tournament, only to see Scottie Scheffler make two birdies in the final four holes, and combined with a flubbed chip from Fitzpatrick on the 72nd hole, force a playoff.
It’s incredibly difficult to win a golf tournament. It’s even harder when you’ve drawn the ire of the crowd, blown a lead, and allowed yourself to get pulled into a playoff with the World No. 1.
Fortunately for Fitz, he just dealt with this a few weeks ago at The Players Championship. He didn’t come out on top that time, but he did bounce back the very next week to win. He’s got some fortitude, and he keeps proving it.
In the playoff, both players found the fairway, but it was Fitzpatrick who stepped up and hit the shot of the tournament.
Much to the chagrin of the fans on site, Fitz would go on to make that birdie putt and win the RBC Heritage for the second time. It’s also his second win in his last three starts. He let the crowd know it too, and in the process earned a lot of respect from this American.
Of course, as with the Ryder Cup, and as with The Players Championship, the debate about the conduct of American golf fans took center stage as soon as Fitzpatrick put the tartan jacket back on.
Look, I’m not the kind of guy who’s yelling “USA! USA! USA!” at events that aren’t the Ryder Cup, and yeah, I think it’s a little corny. But that’s where it ends for me.
I also think it’s fine for Americans to cheer for the American golfer - radical position, I know. I’d personally draw the line at “cheer for your guy, not against the other guy,” but guess what… there’s always one drunk idiot out there.
Meanwhile, Europeans and select members of the American media turn this into some sweeping indictment of American golf fans, and turn it into a political statement, as if Europeans weren’t all over Brian Harman when he took their their precious jug a few years ago, or as if drunk fans at golf tournaments only started yelling after COVID.
Please.
Matt Fitzpatrick, the only person in this situation who actually matters, had this to say:
Caddyshanks Says: Matt Fitzpatrick is a damn good golfer, a helluva competitor, and a class act. Did you know he also lives in the United States by choice? Wonder why.
