Andrew Novak kept getting close. So did Ben Griffin.

Novak was in the final group a few weeks ago at the Valero, only to watch Brian Harman slam the door. Last week, he lost a playoff to Justin Thomas at the RBC.

Griffin wasn’t far off either — he finished solo second at the Canadian Open last year and T9 at The Amex. That first win kept slipping through their fingers.

Turns out, teaming up was exactly what they needed.

Griffin — who left golf a couple years ago to work at an insurance company — buried a 35-footer for birdie on 17 to seal the deal.

The win nets Griffin and Novak 400 FedExCup points, $1.329 million each, and a ticket to the PGA Championship in three weeks. They're also officially into all three remaining Signature Events — plus spots at The Sentry and THE PLAYERS Championship in 2026.

The brothers Hojgaard finished in 2nd place, and both are quickly rising up the short list of European Ryder cup hopefuls, but both are also searching for their first Tour victory.

Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry failed to defend their team title and finished in 12th place.
