Alex Noren (41), set the 36-hole tournament record at fifteen-under. He’s your solo leader.

Ryan Moore (40), the tour mainstay with $33 million in career earnings, is also in the hunt. He’s T2 along with Satoshi Kodaira and Ryan Brehm at thirteen-under.

You may remember Camilo Villegas (40) from his 2nd place finish last week, he’s also in the hunt at twelve-under.

Is it worth mentioning that 50 year old Stewart Cink is at eleven-under?

There’s a theme developing…

Fan Favorites Make Cut

The Bryan Bros, who gained some fame in the golf world for their Youtube Channel, both made the cut on the number.

Wesley Bryan, admittedly check his phone 25 times throughout the round to see how his brother was doing.

Shanks Picks Update

Shanks Readers, we are happy to report that for once in the history of Shanks, our Akshay Bhattia Top-5 bet is still alive. After two rounds, he is T6.

Ben Griffin, our outright pick, is still alive, and off to a strong start this morning. As we write, he’s sitting at 10-under and T-12.

All other bets are cooked, as Sam Bennett, Nick Dunlap, and Thomas Detry failed to make the cut.

How’s Your Tempo?

It’s that time of year again - the offseason.

For a lot of us, that means we aren’t able to get out on the course as much, which means we get rusty… and our tempo gets out of whack…

Either go bang balls mindlessly for hours and try to “dig it out of the dirt” like Hogan did…

30 HC Pours One In For Win

Shots Heard Round The World

Would You Buy Sam Sneads Masters Trophy For A Milly?

“The 1949 Masters was Snead's 1st Masters Tournament victory. 1949 is among the most famous years in Masters Tournament history, as it was the very first time that a green jacket was awarded to the Champion. Sam Snead shot back to back 67s on the weekend to win by 3 strokes.

In the golf collecting hobby, The Masters Tournament trophy is far and away the most elusive trophy in all of golf. Unlike the other Major Championship trophies (not to mention other sports), replicas are not produced. No salesman samples, no smaller copies, and no other versions for Augusta members or tournament VIPs. Save for a couple larger "Permanent" trophies produced for the Hall of Fame and other museums, the only way to obtain a Masters Tournament trophy is to go out and win the Masters.”

Gary Players 1974 Masters Trophy went for $540k in 2021, so while the bidding is currently at 100k for the Snead trophy, it could definitely get bid up to a million.
