He is tied for the lead at -10 with Patrick Cantlay and Patrick Fishburn after two rounds at Detroit Golf Club.
Young’s odds to win have dropped to +260.
Rickie Fowler, who briefly held the lead yesterday, is two shots back along with Matt Wallace.
Wyndham Clark, Akshay Bhatia, and Chris Gotterup were among the notables who missed the cut.
