Good Afternoon! Welcome to Shanks. The LIV vs. PGA rollercoaster ride isn’t showing signs of stopping anytime soon. There’s been shots fired this week from both sides (mostly the LIV side, this week) and there’s tons of contradictions about the future of golf. How will it all shake out? No one knows.

Super Quick Update: Zozo

Justin Suh, Eric Cole, and Beau Hossler are all seeking their first PGAT win this weekend in at the Zozo Championship.

Suh holds the 54 hole lead at 9-under with Cole and Hossler T2 at 8-under.

While the three of them will be grinding tonight (remember, the tournament is in Japan and starts late) they have a major champion sitting in solo-third - Collin Morikawa.

Morikawa has been fighting through a slump of sorts over the last year and is looking to break it with a win in Japan.

This should make for a fun finish tonight.

Shanks Picks Update

Decent card this week. The outright pick (Rickie Fowler) and the longshot (Joel Dahmen) are pretty much done.

All of the other bets from Wednesday are still alive.

The one we are watching most? Sahith Theegala (T18) Min Woo Lee (T18) and Keegan Bradley (T21) to all finish top twenty for +600.

A solid round from each of them should land them all safely in the top twenty.

DK Opens Sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale

TPC Scottsdale, home of the WM Open, is also now home to a brand new Draftkings Sportsbook. The first ever to be located at a PGAT Venue.

The sportsbook includes 32 betting kiosks, 3,400 square feet of video walls, and six wagering ticket windows. There’s also a dining room and indoor-outdoor bar area. The entire facility is 13,000 square feet.

It will be open year round, with the patio and restaurant available to all patrons and the wagering area available to those who are 21+.

Golf Thing We'd Buy If We Weren't Broke

Take a deep breath and ready yourself because we’re about to get serious. According to the CDC, every year, about 240,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women and about 2,100 in men. It is because of these staggering numbers that every October, major breast cancer charities increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure.
