The Field at a Glance & How To Watch

This is the best field we’ve seen on tour all fall, with 16 of the top 50 in OWGR playing in this limited field event.

That list includes names like: Cam Davis, Keegan Bradley, Xander Schaufele, Sahith Theegala, Sungjae Im, Min Woo Lee, Rickie Fowler, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Emiliano Grillo, and Adam Scott.

The Course

Accordia is short compared to what the pros normally play, at just 7,041 yards.

The last two winners (Keegan and Hideki) finished at 15-under.

Previous Winners

2019 – Tiger Woods

2020 – Patrick Cantlay

2021 – Hideki Matsuyama

2022 - Keegan Bradley

Shanks Picks

Outright Winner: Rickie Fowler +1600

  • Frankly, this was a toss up between BDR and Sahith Theegala. The number on Sahith is a little better at +2000 and both players played well here last year, with Rickie finishing in second place.

Top Five: Sahith Theegala +400

  • Sahith had a big win a few weeks ago, finished top-5 last year, and we like the wildcard to turn in a nice performance in Japan.

Top Ten: Min Woo Lee +175

  • Min Woo Lee won last week on the DP World Tour and he’s already adjusted to the time zone change. Recent form pick here.

Top Twenty: Emiliano Grillo +150

  • Grillo might be one of the more sneaky underrated golfers on tour. This guy is ALWAYS lingering.

Longshot: Joel Dahmen +11000

  • At those odds, why not take a shot? He was T7 last week at Shriners and finished 16th last year at the Zozo.

Tourney Special: Min Woo Lee, Keegan Bradley, and Sahith Theegala to all finish Top-Twenty. +600 Via Fanduel.

Fairgame App

Think dating app, but for constructing a group to golf with. That’s what entrepreneur Eric Mayville, Hodinkee founder Ben Clymer, and pro golfer Adam Scott are going for. It the simplest… and pretty much the only, app solution for finding like minded people to golf with.

Starting on the app is something we’re all already familiar with, build a profile. From there you can make a reservation at a course and list it on the app, allowing others to join, or join a tee time that someone else has already made. The important characteristic of this app is that you can check out everyone else’s profile and get a good sense of their vibe before being around these people for 4+ hours on a golf course.

Otherwise, the Fairgame functions like any other golf app:

  • Record and post stroke play

  • Generate a handicap

  • Play and track match play, nassau, skins, and nines

  • Post pictures from your round

You can download Fairgame today from the App Store or Google Play!
