Golf Fact: Masters Edition
Record holders: Jack Nicklaus holds the record for most Masters wins, with six titles between 1963 and 1986. Tiger Woods holds the record for the lowest 72-hole score, finishing 18-under par in 1997. Jordan Spieth matched this score in 2015.
Flashback Friday
Dare we honor LIV Golfers here? Yes, we dare. In 2012, Louis Oosthuizen hit this absurd albatross in the final round. Unfortunately for him, Bubba Watson hit an even more absurd shot to win it all. Just the kind of sh*t that happens Masters weekend.
*Fun Note from a commenter*
Louis threw his ball into the crowd when he walked off the green. The guy who caught it was immediately approached by a member, invited up to the clubhouse and asked to name his price. He exchanged it with Augusta National for four weekly lifetime passes for the tournament and a round on the course after to the following years tournament. The ball now sits on the wall of the clubhouse with the other three that have been made in the Masters.

Tom Watson is building a course right near Augusta.
Rory hit one of the best drives you will ever see yesterday.
An online golf community is buying a Scottish Links.
Hole 13 at Augusta is MUCH more difficult this year.

Golf Thing We'd Buy If We Weren't Broke
This is one of those times where I thought “hey, that’s a cool thing. I wonder if I should add this to my golf collection” and saw the price tag and wanted to jump off a bridge. This watch from TAG Heuer is so unbelievably sick (and $2,650) and I have no idea in what world I think I’m living in, where this could be in my price range. Even the advertising is suupppeerrrr dope.
This watch, is like an Apple Watch on juice, it tracks heart rate, has a compass, an accelerometer (is this a thing?), gyroscope (like the Greek food), NFC (ok this is football), has a microphone (watch your language), and barometer (finds the… nearest bar?). It also comes with an exclusive TAG Heuer Golf app to track your performance on over 40,000 golf courses. Also I hear you can use this thing to tell the time.
Here’s a side-by-side comparison between this watch and others.
That's all folks! See you Monday for a recap of the weekend.
