⛳️ Hideki Matsuyama Wins St. Jude
Country Club Snob Gets Doxxed.
Good afternoon. Huge news from Golf Twitter over the weekend: The anonymous and controversial account, Country Club Snob, known for its condescending hot takes on golf, mid-tier country clubs, tattoos, and attire, was doxxed and subsequently deleted. Nothing good in this world ever lasts.
More below.

Quick Recap: The St. Jude Championship

Last week, we saw Max Greyserman suffer the consequences of a back-nine blowup.
Yesterday, for a few holes, it looked like Hideki Matsuyama was going to do the same thing.
That’s just golf sometimes. You can play three and a half rounds almost perfectly, establish a five stroke lead, and then lose it all with a single bad swing or decision.
In Hideki’s case, it was a bad putt, a bad chip, and a bad swing. He bogeyed the 12th and 14th holes, then he had a double bogey on the 15th.
Yet, where other golfers would’ve faltered, Hideki kept himself collected and managed to close out his round with birdies on 17 and 18.
Pretty impressive considering his coach and caddie weren’t there. Pretty sad for us, because we took him off our card (only as a Top 20) after his coach and caddie were robbed in London and had to go back to Japan.
Golf truly makes no sense sometimes!
What about everyone else?
Like we mentioned last week, some guys are going home.
Notably, Tom Kim, Justin Rose, Mackenzie Hughes, and Jake Knapp all saw their seasons come to an end on Sunday.
Despite playing terribly, Rory McIlroy and Max Homa still have accrued enough points to remain in the Top 50 and qualify for the next round.
Viktor Hovland, Eric Cole, and Nick Dunlap managed to sneak inside the Top 50 and will continue on to Colorado this week for the BMW Championship.

Country Club Snob Doxxed and Deleted

Okay, so, if you don’t spend hours of your week hanging out on Golf Twitter then you probably have no clue what the hell I’m talking about, so I’ll try to provide a little explainer…
Golf Twitter is one of the most toxic places on the internet, but it’s also really fun. People have strong opinions and this leads to a lot of arguments on the platform on an almost daily basis.
You have a mix of personalities - everyone from Big J’s, to regular folks, to golf pros, influencers, and of course - anonymous troll accounts.
One such anonymous account was Country Club Snob, or @eldricks_hoes.
He made a name for himself over the last year or so on Twitter by sharing condescending opinions on what golfers should wear, what they should drink, the differences between mid-tier clubs and top-tier clubs, etc.

The list goes on and the man was committed to the bit. He was also a pretty good writer. Unfortunately for him, he upset a lot of people with his Tweets.
Eventually, the pro at his own club outed him to some people privately, and they doxxed him and released his private information. I’m against doxxing, so I won’t list it here, but it can be found elsewhere on the internet.
After being outed, the guy deleted his Twitter account.
Now that he’s gone, there are tons and tons of people arguing about whether he should’ve been doxxed or not, whether people need to lighten up or not, etc.
Some people are writing entire threads about the guy!
We highly recommend that you never sign up for Golf Twitter.
Thing We’d Buy: Tech Polo
It’s been awhile since we featured anything from Random Golf Club, but they just dropped their newest tech polos.
From RGC:
The Tech Polos are designed to keep you chill even when the game heats up, these polos are your ultimate partner on the course. With breathable, moisture-wicking fabric that’s basically a built-in A/C and sun protection that has your back—literally—you’ll stay comfortable from the first swing to the last putt.
That’s all folks! See you Wednesday with our BMW Championship Picks.
