Doin Lines: Farmers Insurance Open

🚩 Location: Torrey Pines North & South Courses

💰 Purse: $9M -$1.62M to first.

👑 Previous Winner: Max Homa

👀 Watch On: Golf Channel, CBS.

The Farmers Insurance Field and How To Watch

Important: Unlike most tournaments, the Farmers Insurance Open starts today, which is a Wednesday, and not the normal Thursday start.

You are unlikely to see scores as low as last weeks birdie-fest at The Amex.

Torrey Pines, especially the south course, tends to play a little more difficult than the courses we’ve seen in Hawaii and La Quinta. In fact, the south course ranked as one of the most difficult non-major courses over the last two years.

The best in the field:

Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Patrick Cantlay, Ludvig Aberg, Sungjae Im, Min Woo Lee, Jason Day, and Tony Finau.

How To Watch

  • Wednesday-Thursday: 3-7 p.m. (Golf Channel)

  • Friday: 3-5 p.m. (Golf Channel), 5-8 p.m. (CBS)

  • Saturday: 2-4 p.m. (Golf Channel), 4-8 p.m. (CBS)

Previous Winners

2020 – Mark Leishman

2021 – Patrick Reed

2022 – Luke List

2023 - Max Homa

Shanks Picks

There has been some rain this week, which may make the Torrey Pines rough more punitive, but should also make the greens a bit more receptive.

If you’re looking to live bet, you may want to target someone who gets off to a strong start on the south course.

Winner: Min Woo Lee +2200

It’s time to let the chef cook and we won’t give any more explanation than that.

Top Five: Jason Day +500

Yes, we picked Jason Day to win last week and he didn’t, but he has a great history at Torrey Pines and has won this event twice.

Top Ten: Ludvig Aberg +200

You need to be above average in every category to perform well at Torrey Pines and Ludvig is simply a stud. With thicker air and wetter conditions, Total Driving is an important stat to consider, and Ludvig is one of the best in the field off the tee.

Top Twenty: Sahith Theegala +160

We have had really bad luck picking top-twenty’s in the first few tournaments this year, so Sahith feels like a safe pick, then again, so did Corey Conners.

Longshot: Hideki Matsuyama +7000

Hideki hasn’t been at the top of his game lately, but at such long odds, it’s worth taking a flyer on a major champion. Also, he finished T9 here last year.

Make The Cut Parlay: Jason Day, Min Woo Lee, Tony Finau +125

Great Sex, Solved Naturally

JOYMODE’s Sexual Performance Booster is like a pre-workout, but for sex!  It’s designed to support erection quality, firmness, and sex drive utilizing clinically supported doses of L-Citrulline, Arginine Nitrate, Ginseng, and Vitamin C.

Simply mix a packet with 6-8 ounces of water, just like your favorite electrolyte sachet. For best use, consume anywhere from 45 minutes to 5 hours prior to sexual activity.  After consuming our Sexual Performance Booster, blood levels of arginine increase, which will directly promote nitric oxide production, penile tissue relaxation, and increased drive. Meanwhile, the antioxidant action of vitamin C will protect nitric oxide from oxidative degradation, which enhances the blood flow promoting activity of nitric oxide. Collectively, these effects enhance sex drive, increase sexual energy, better blood flow to the penis, resulting in better performance & erection quality.

Finally a superior, science backed alternative to prescriptions with all sorts of side effects or over-the-counter gas station pills that are sketchy and fraudulent!

The Match Is Back

The Match is back!

This time, unlike last time, it will feature some people who can actually play golf.

A few other notes:

  • This is the first time The Match will feature two LPGA stars.

  • It’s being held at a muni, albeit a nice one. The Park in West Palm Beach designed by Gil Hanse.

  • They will play a 12 hole skins game, with each hole worth a specified amount for charity, whoever raises the most money wins.
