Taylor Pendrith nabbed his first career PGA TOUR victory at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, securing the win with a birdie on the final hole to post 23-under.

Now, if that opening line has you thinking he cruised to boring, drama-free victory, well, you’d be dead wrong.

The closing holes of the tournament were really fun to watch.

Ben Kohles, last year's Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year, appeared poised to capture his own first career win after seizing the lead with consecutive birdies on the 16th and 17th holes.

However, the pressure of the final hole got to him a bit.

His tee shot landed in the rough, albeit with a favorable lie, but his approach got away from him and he ended up short-sided in heavy green-side rough.

Unfortunately, he flubbed the first chip and a subsequent challenging chip left him with a par putt he couldn't convert.

Meanwhile, Pendrith executed a steady approach, leaving himself about 30 feet for eagle. He rolled it to about 3 feet and poured in the birdie to win.

A two shot swing on the final hole. Heartbreak hotel for Kohles. Glee for Pendrith.

While Scottie Scheffler was cruising to his 2024 Masters win, Brooks Koepka wasn’t terrible, but he wasn’t his normal major championship self either.

"I think the embarrassment of Augusta really kicked things into overdrive for me and really having to put my nose down and grind it out a little bit harder and having to look my team in the eye and apologize. I'm not looking to do that again."

So, after some grinding, Brooks Koepka won at LIV Singapore on Sunday.

Scottie Scheffler has been dominant all year. He’s already bagged a major.
