Good Morning! Welcome to Shanks. After reviewing all the results of last weeks survey, it looks like you guys want real golf tips from real teaching pros to be a larger part of this newsletter and we are gonna make it happen. You also asked for access to brand discounts, new products, and giveaways. We are going to make that happen for you too. Expect some slight changes around here in the coming weeks.

Austin Eckroat Wins During Monday Finish
Another week, another first time winner on Tour.
Another week, another event plagued by weather issues.
Another week, another longshot winner.
Austin Eckroat was available at +15000 odds pre-tourney.
He navigated the delays and The Bear Trap perfectly on Monday, shooting a final round 67, the lowest by a 54 hole leader at PGA National ever. Not bad considering he said he could hardly sleep the night before.
He’s also now the third member of the 17-18 National Champion Oklahoma State golf team to win on tour. Matthew Wolff and Viktor Hovland are the other two. They must know what they are doing down there in Oklahoma.
Austin Eckroat and Jake Knapp might not be the most exciting back-to-back winners in real time, but there's a good chance we look back on these two weeks someday as the launching points for a couple of really strong careers.

Shane Lowry Hulk Smash
If there was anyone who had a chance to beat Austin Eckroat, it was Shane Lowry. He was only a few back to start the final round and he had the most holes left when play resumed on Monday.
He ended up finishing T4, but maybe the most notable thing he did was take his anger out on the teebox. First smashing his club into it, then trying to kick the club, and whiffing bad.
It gave us a good laugh on a Monday morning.
Shanks Picks Recap 2024
Well, despite his anger, Shane Lowry helped us nab another top-five finish. Thanks Shane! He was +650 pre tourney. The MTCP also hit at +298.
Outright Picks: 0-9
Top Five: 2-7
Top Ten: 3-5
Top Twenty: 2-7
Longshot: 1-8
MTCP: 3-2

Full Swing 2: What To Expect
Here’s everything we know so far about Full Swing S2, which debuts Wednesday on Netflix.
Only one LIV golfer featured.
In season one, there was five golfers featured who’d eventually join LIV. In season two, the only LIV golfer is Dustin Johnson, although Brooks Koepka’s coach and wife are both in season two.
Cameras Were Rolling at The Masters
Augusta gave Netflix full access to last years Masters tournament, which was the first time many of the LIV & PGA guys were together since the big split. Should be some interesting scenes there.
New Faces
Both Tom Kim and Keegan Bradley will appear in the second season.
Anything else?
Yes. Apparently, the second season jumps right into the middle of all the LIV drama with Rory McIlroy leading the charge against them. We know he’s singing a different tune now, so that will be interesting to watch. And of course, there’s plenty of Ryder Cup scenes as well.
Drake & Lebron Invest In PGAT
According to NYT Dealbook, there’s a few more big names investing in the PGAT than we originally thought.
We all heard about the original $3 billion dollar cash infusion provided by SSG, but we didn’t know that it also came with some serious star power attached.
Drake and Lebron will not only be putting up capital, but they’ll also be putting their combined marketing power behind the tour.
Expect to see Drake greenside at big events, similar to his involvement with the Toronto Raptors.
In addition to Drake and Lebron, Dealbook also reported that notable investors include “The actor Chris Pratt; James’s business partner, Maverick Carter, and the player’s agent, Rich Paul; Jeremy Zimmer, the C.E.O. of United Talent Agency; and Steve Stoute, the founder of UnitedMasters and a longtime record and marketing executive.”
Golf is about to enter a whole new era.

Thing We'd Buy If We Weren't Broke
Puma is back again with another drop. This time it’s a full Arnold Palmer collection that includes shoes, hats’, shirts, and more.
It’s seriously a massive drop just ahead of next weeks AP Invitational at Bay Hill and there’s literally too many items to cover each one in detail, so we recommend taking a gander at the whole thing.
That’s all folks! See you Wednesday with some picks for the AP Invitational.
