Good Afternoon. Last week, both Make The Cut parlays hit, this week, the card was destroyed early, but we still managed to snag Keith Mitchell a.k.a Cashmere Keith Top Ten at +490.

Quick Recap: 3M Open

Did anyone have a better weekend than Lee Hodges?

He just won his first tour event, was the first man to go wire to wire at the 3M Open, earned himself a spot at the 2024 Masters (most of us dorks can’t even get tickets) and he just won a cool $1.4 million.

How was your weekend?

Lee ended up winning the 3M by seven shots and vaulted himself safely into the top 70, qualifying for the playoffs.

Oh, and apparently when you play college golf at Alabama, and you win? You get a milkshake. Lee’s coach flew up to surprise him with one after the win.

JT Poston did everything he could to make Lee sweat and he got as close as 3-off the lead on the 18th. He needed an eagle to give himself a chance. 

Gotta give him credit. $260k might make a man think about laying up, but not JT The Postman.

Double Playoffs

The Senior Open and The NV5 Invitational both went to playoffs this week. Here’s what what down:

Senior Open

  • Alex Cejka began the final round with the lead and managed to hold on despite the crazy conditions at Royal Porthcrawl

  • The ol’ dog Padraig Harrington birdied the final hole and sent it to a two man playoff

  • Harrington just barely missed his eagle putt on the first playoff hole

  • Cejka made the winning birdie on the second playoff hole

  • Highly recommend listening to this clip below with Paddy from earlier in the week. Some incredible perspective.

NV5 Invitational

  • The only reason anyone really got to see this playoff is because Barstool Sports covered it live on Barstool.tv and we hope thats a thing that continues for them

  • These are the dudes grinding week in and week out to make it on the tour. Lives change at these events.

    First, Patrick Fishburn holes a 40 ft eagle putt to tie the leader.

    Then, Trace Crowe needed a birdie on the first playoff hole to continue the fight.

Finally, on the second playoff hole, disaster.

Early Lines: Wyndham Champ

This is the final opportunity for golfers outside the Top 70 (looking at you JT) to get into the playoffs. That will likely effect some of the betting this week.

Golf Thing We'd Buy If We Weren't Broke

We highly recommend checking out the story before heading to their website where you’ll likely find yourself checking out their extremely low key apparel that still somehow catches your eye.
